I had an amazing stay at a traditional Japanese ryokan in Yamagata. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The food was exceptional, with fresh ingredients sourced from local farms. The location was perfect, just minutes away from the bus station and attractions like the Zao ropeway. As a bonus, staying at the ryokan gave me free access to the village's onsens. I highly recommend this ryokan for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Absolutely loved the traditional Japanese feel of this quaint hotel. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to all the nearby attractions and had easy access to public transportation. The hot springs within the hotel were an absolute luxury and provided a much-needed relaxation after busy days. Lastly, the meals were truly unforgettable. We enjoyed the local cuisine every morning and night, which was just divine.
While we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it's important to note that the beds were quite hard and took some getting used to. we found that the room was slightly smaller than what we were expecting.

This hotel is located in a great spot for skiing, just across the street from the hill. It's also conveniently close to the bus station and right on the Onsen street. the rooms are spacious and comfortable with traditional tatami flooring. the friendly and kind staff provide excellent service, including assistance with shipping luggage and providing recommendations on local activities. the breakfast, made with locally sourced ingredients, is a must-try.
The hotel lacks ensuite bathrooms in the rooms and instead offers shared bathroom facilities.
